Every print starts in Kalanni's sketchbook
KJH Surf is a little family business on the Gold Coast, and our 13-year-old daughter Kalanni is the artist behind every 5-panel. She draws each print by hand with pencils and textas, picks the colours, and even helps pack your order. When you wear a KJH hat, you're wearing her artwork.
- 1. Draws it Every print begins as a hand drawing.
- 2. Picks colours She mixes and matches from colour cards until it feels right.
- 3. Goes digital Finished on her computer, then turned into a 600 DPI print file.
- 4. Becomes a hat Printed on cotton, then made into hats by our hat maker in Indonesia.
- 5. Packed with love Every order is packed by our family with a handwritten thank-you note.
